Finding parking

Green markers indicate free parking; yellow markers indicate free parking with restrictions.

How do I find parking in a specific location?

  1. Open the map screen.
  2. Move the map to the city or area you are interested in.
  3. You can also tap the search icon and enter an address, place, shopping centre, museum or city landmark.
  4. Tap a parking marker to see a short card with the basic information.
  5. Choose “See more” to open the full parking details.

Always check the signs before parking. ParkWise helps, but local signs take priority.

How do I check parking details?

  1. Open the full parking details.
  2. Check the name, address, description, category and date added.
  3. View photos, ratings and comments from other drivers.
  4. Use the navigation button to get directions to the place.
  5. If the information is outdated, report the issue to the administrator.

Adding parking

Adding parking earns reputation points, and your place can help other users.

How do I add parking?

  1. Tap “Add” in the bottom navigation bar.
  2. Use your current location, enter an address or choose a place on the map.
  3. Enter a parking name and a short description. The save button remains disabled without this information.
  4. Choose a category: free or free with restrictions.
  5. Add a photo if you can. It is very helpful for other drivers.

Requesting parking

This is useful when visiting a new city and you do not know where parking is possible.

How do I request parking?

  1. On the map, enable parking request mode using the question mark button.
  2. Choose the place where you will need parking.
  3. Set a radius, for example 1 km, 2 km or 3 km.
  4. Your request appears on the map as a purple marker with a question mark.
  5. You receive a notification when someone adds parking within that radius.

Favourite parking places

Favourites help you plan a trip: save several places and return to them before arriving.

How do I use favourite parking places?

  1. Tap the heart on the small or full parking card.
  2. The parking place is saved in “Favourites”.
  3. You can filter and sort saved places in your favourites.
  4. Tap the active heart again to remove a place from your favourites.

Points, badges and rankings

You earn points for parking, photos, comments, ratings, accepted reports and active invitations, among other activities.

How do I check points, badges and rankings?

  1. Open the “Profile” tab.
  2. View the number of parking places, comments and ratings you have added.
  3. Check your reputation points and earned badges.
  4. Open the rankings to see the most active users.
  5. Open rewards to check your points and information about future benefits.

Start with the map. You can then add your own places, save favourites and earn points for your activity.

Your profile is your activity centre. Manage your parking, followed cities, requests and account settings.

Do I need an account to use the map?

You can browse the map, but an account is required to add parking, comments, ratings, favourites, reputation points and notifications.

Can I add parking without an exact address?

Yes. Choose a location with the map crosshair. The app shows the address if it can identify it.

What does parking with restrictions mean?

It is free parking with additional rules, such as a time limit, free weekends, customers only or signs that need checking.

How do I remove parking from favourites?

Open a saved place and tap the active heart again. You can also manage saved places in “Favourites”.
